Disney’s Specialized Operations team is seeking a Sr. Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of Managers and Specialists tasked with driving growth of Disney’s automated marketplaces including programmatic self-service. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for driving strategic operational efficiencies between Technology and Advertising stakeholders and delivering tangible improvements to the processes and operational workflows that support Disney’s automated business.
Job Summary:
In this role you will report to the Director, Specialized Operations and will work closely with many teams including Sales, Revenue Management, Ad Platforms, Data, Sales Enablement, Account Management, and Finance. The primary responsibility of the Sr. Manager will be to maximize operational efficiency and revenue across all programmatic and self-service channels. It will be important to foster and maintain strong relationships that bridge the gap between the business and technical sides. The role requires that the organization sees you as the go-to and the subject matter expert on all things related to the Programmatic and Self-Service business.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Leading and managing the team of Managers/Specialists
- Oversee Tier 2/3 escalation resolution times
- Partner effectively on strategic initiatives with Sales, Product/Ad Platforms, Finance, Business Development, and Sales Enablement
- Oversee and drive forward projects/initiatives that increase Automated Operations effectiveness and efficiency
Help develop strategy and perspective for leadership tied to automation
Help develop strategy and perspective for leadership tied to automation
Further the training and education of Operations in general when it comes to Automated Marketplaces
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university
- 7+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years within a Digital Ad Sales Operations role
- Experience leading/managing a team
- Strong working knowledge of programmatic ad tech ecosystem (SSPs, DSPs, OpenRTB)
- Familiarity with VAST and VPAID video formats and live streaming/VOD ad insertion technology (DAI/SSAI)
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot CTV/OTT campaign and request data
- Strong knowledge and background in self-serve ad buying tools and platforms
- Ability to work under pressure and loves to solve problems
- Growth mentality to keep pace with a dynamic work environment/industry
- Takes initiative and able to foster sales and partner relationships while focused on customer service
- Experience interacting with a queue/case management/ticketing system (JIRA/Zendesk)
- Ability to adapt to rapid change from an organizational standpoint
- Strong communication and presentation skills when needed

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $157,600 - $192,600 per year, and in Chicago, IL & Santa Monica, CA is $150,500 - $183,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
