Dualy reporting to VP, Marketing APAC, DTC AND VP, Partnerships APAC, DTC, in this Partner Marketing leadership role, you will shape and bring to life Disney’s APAC partner marketing strategy, leading a high-performing team to unlock growth through innovative collaborations and world-class partnerships. Working closely with partners, country leadership teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will identify opportunities that connect Disney’s beloved brands with audiences in meaningful ways while delivering measurable business outcomes. You will also champion a culture of learning and innovation, using insights, performance data, and strategic thinking to strengthen partner investment, elevate marketing effectiveness, and scale successful initiatives across the region and beyond.

A key aspect for the role is to build positive relationships between our partners and work collaboratively across business to deliver best in class Disney+ partner programs and promote effective ways of working.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high performing team of Partner Marketing regional experts.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and deliver on the Partner Marketing strategy for APAC with a clear view on how it will deliver business outcomes, and contribute to broader APAC goals
  • Development: Partner with Disney Partnerships team to secure new and grow existing marketing investment and effectiveness from partners
  • Strategy development: Identify strategic opportunities that can scale across the region and with the global team
  • Creative: Lead team to build market leading creative with partners
  • Full Funnel: Deliver full funnel campaigns with partners spanning ATL and BTL marketing, through working with partners to optimize sales across their digital, call centers and retail environments.
  • Local knowledge: Partner with the Disney country leaderships teams to align on key priorities for each market, title priorities, and goals for the market
  • Analysis: Provide thought partnership and guidance around opportunity sizing, identifying consumer & partner motivations, key GTM levers and clear success metrics for initiatives across existing & new partnerships in the region.
  • Culture Building: Promote an inclusive and innovative culture that values integrity, creativity and Collaboration.
  • Client Servicing:  Excellence in client servicing, helping build long term relationships with our largest strategic partners and delivering a seamless partner experience
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Product & Tech, Content, Retail Marketing, and other Disney teams to advance DTC business.
  • Develop a strong learning culture, defining actions to improve effectiveness, increasing investment from partners, and prioritizing opportunities to maximise impact
  • Best Practices: Define and implement processes for identifying relevant partners and ensure effective deal execution across the region.
  • Brand Champion: Ensure that Disney’s guidelines, IP usage and ways of working are clearly set out, processes smooth, and creative well executed

  • Consumer Electronics

  • Utilities
  • Broadcasters

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in marketing including significant experience in Partner Marketing, and managing Partner Marketing channels
  • Excellent regional knowledge and expertise, ideally with experience in KR, JP and SEA
  • Strong balance of strategic and operational skills; ability to lead in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • An expert in full funnel marketing, including Retail / Sales
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: consumer-oriented and impact oriented.
  • Strong communication and influence skills with a track record of collaborating effectively and driving initiatives with cross-functional partners.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and results-driven with a strategic and agile mindset.
  • Experience in multinational, highly matrixed organizations
  • Experience in leading teams across multiple markets in APAC

Skills Required

  • Business development, partnerships or other client facings skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deep local market experience and established relationships with senior business leaders.
  • Consistent track record of exceeding targets.
  • Fluency in English is a must, a second Asian language is preferred
