About the Role & Team

We are looking for a temporary (maternity cover) Commercial Manager that will be in charge of deliver Disneyland Paris sales & marketing strategy for Portuguese market, contributing to the overall hotels and tickets sales and revenue as defined in the annual operating plan, among all distribution channels.

This role will require you to be working 4 days a week in our Madrid office and 1 day from home.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop successful trade relationships that will enable long term growth for DLP.

  • Develop and implement operational efficiencies across all key partners and brands for long term growth.

  • To develop, implement, manage and review creative both for trade partner campaigns & CD channels to drive sales / awareness.

  • Develop and implement CD channel business plans and initiatives, with a regular and permanent business performance monitoring, under the ambitious long term growth.

  • Account management and promotion of sales mainly thru Offsite/Tickets/Airlines Partners/OTAs/Others.

  • Maximize sales and revenue opportunities to deliver annual growth targets, analyzing figures and providing insights to drive business.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • In charge of account management, sales promotions & marketing campaigns with travel trade partners, in coordination with the KAM team for joint trade partners.

  • Create and execute trade sales plans through dedicated presentations, training programmes and other activations as required.

  • Take overall responsibility for briefing and implementation of all trade partner and CD marketing campaigns in the market ensuring the development, briefing, co-ordination, sign off, launch & reviews are successfully implemented.

  • Ensure alignment of CD annual plan with the wider Iberia sales & marketing plan.

  • Develop business with Selected & Associated Hotels across Portuguese market and partners.

  • Define and implement Omni channel strategy & plan through all DLP sales channels.

  • Be innovative, creative and proactive, leveraging knowledge of travel and tourism market to find and implement new opportunities to develop sales and revenues.

  • Deliver analysis on all DLP campaigns performance, key sales learnings, optimization and improvements throughout campaign and through all channels and segments.

  • Have an active role in the planning, forecasting process and provide input for Annual Operating Plans and revenue targets.

  • Provide detailed commercial insight through the use of reporting tools and systems working with Paris teams. Leverage in market intelligence to ensure informed decisions are made.

  • Become an expert of Disney Destinations brands (Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line) and products and way of working, showcasing Disney values both internally and externally.

  • Follow-up of business and activation plans, ensure partners efficiently promote DLP and other Disney Destinations as WDW and DCL (permanent communication workflow & product updates), monitor and report sales performance.

  • Attend and support key travel industry trade shows, workshops, familiarization trips, ship tours, PR events and training events to represent DLP and other Disney Destinations as WDW and DCL.

  • Develop and implement Digital e-commerce plans, to boost and deliver CD channel sales and revenues in to the Portuguese market. Experience and Professional Qualifications Required Level of experience, Qualifications and People Management experience.

Experience and Professional qualifications required:

  • Large matrix organization experience preferable

  • Substantial commercial and marketing experience in a major multi-national environment.

  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical skills related to implementation of marketing and sales plans.

  • Proven success at working with multiple countries and an ability to adapt approach to each partner.

  • Exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills.

  • Strong general skills to drive a variety of initiatives from sales plans, commercial changes, marketing and partnerships, creative sign off and more.

  • Strong collaborator and partnership skills • Experience in working with trade accounts.

  • Appetite to drive emerging markets and foster business growth.

  • Knowledge of travel and tourism industry would be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline.
