Disney+ is an SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) service that gives the whole family access to the biggest collection of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic, and 20th Century content all in one place. Designed to be enjoyed at home or on the go as an iOS or Android app for tablet, mobile, and smart TVs, it allows fans to explore all of Disney’s stories and characters.

The team has an exciting opportunity to bring in a Production Coordinator for a 6-month engagement. The role will primarily provide support across the key administrative stages for our commissioning portfolio, from pitches to production, and postproduction through to delivery and sunrise.This role is expected to bring with it professional production experience & skills to contribute to the positive and collaborative navigation of production challenges at all stages of projects. 

Our ideal candidate has an excellent knowledge of the Disney brand and all associated content (TV & films) and a genuine passion for entertainment. You are someone who gets energy from loving what you do and you thrive on working with people who share the passion. You are also someone who is inquisitive and curious, with a desire and capacity to learn.

Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Provide support for the Commissioning & Production team on all day-to-day production issues, as assigned
  • Work closely with the Commissioning & Production team to monitor, track and deliver key administrative stages of production, ensuring adherence to Disney best practices
  • Coordinate and distribute development and production materials to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Research and report on industry news

To be successful in this role, you will hold:

  • 1-3 years experience working in the screen industry or a related industry - prior experience working for a streaming service/broadcaster or on a film/series will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge from prior experience that help you in your understanding of how to support a production team
  • Familiarity and efficiency with software platforms like Microsoft, SharePoint, Google
  • Can-do attitude and excellent team player
  • You will be a highly motivated and professional with a proactive approach
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise, working to deadlines
  • Interest in industry trends, experiences, and workflows
