Disney’s Addressable Ad Operations team is seeking a Senior Ad Operations Specialist who will be an exceptional addition to our Advertising Operations team on one or more of our exciting brands. These brands are composed of The Walt Disney Company’s (NYSE: DIS) global entertainment and news television properties, owned television stations, as well as radio and publishing businesses.  This includes the ABC Television Network, ABC Owned Television Stations Group, ABC Studios, ESPN, Hulu, Disney Channels Worldwide, Freeform, FX and National Geographic as well as Disney/ABC Domestic Television and Disney Media Distribution.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility for this role, is to assist their direct Manager with day-to-day responsibilities and projects, helping Ad Ops Solutions Specialists as their first point of escalation for all triage and response for ad server performance and campaign review. The Senior Ad Ops Solutions Specialist will be working across teams to align process, improve workflows and trainings, and partnerships with teams like Ad Platform, Ad Ops, and Viewer Experience. Additionally, the team will look to this senior team member to be a thought leader, bringing a unique voice and vision to the Ad Ops Solutions team. Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Point of escalation for all Ad Ops Solutions Specialists on tier 1 troubleshooting and serve as day-to-day expert for Ad Ops Solutions in internal ad servers  – Rio, GAM, Mission Control, etc.
  • Internal point of contact for immediate Ad Ops, VX and Ad Platform escalations; keeping track of status updates for open and closed issues
  • Assist Ad Ops Solutions Specialists in developing canned responses for stakeholders related to active or resolved issues as well as leading weekly standup meetings with Ad Ops Solutions Specialists
  • Work with Manager of Ad Ops Solutions to build and align team documentation and guidelines for all Processes, Training & Development, Coverage Schedules
  • Identify process inefficiencies and new ways to improve existing workflow in the areas of campaign review, operational processes, and training/documentation
  • Monitor pipeline, late creative and upcoming report to support specialist and third party contractor workload management during daily/weekly volume spikes or quarterly starts
  • Lead internal projects with Ad Ops Solutions Specialists that improve best practices, establish new team processes, and rectify legacy inefficiencies
  • Project management of JIRA escalations, partnering with Ad Platform teams to push dev ticket prioritization, technical enhancements and real-time updates for Ad Ops Solutions Specialists

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in digital media operations with exposure to ad technology and implementation processes
  • 2 years of Ad Operations Experience, including review and 1st response support for campaign, ad server and platform escalations
  • Familiarity with third party ad servers such as DCM, Innovid, etc. and implementation of tag formats such as VAST/VPAID as well as study and measurement pixels
  • Direct experience using debugger tools (Charles, Fiddler, etc.)
  • Experience with internal workflows involving developers, engineers, and viewer experience teams 
  • Professional communication skills with ability to articulate thoughts and concepts fluidly. Personality to quickly establish rapport and build professional relationships to problem solve and resolve issues in real-time
  • Advanced project management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in a queue management/ticketing system such as JIRA and Operative
  • Quick learner and detail oriented; ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environment and can quickly ideate and train on new workflows and system tools
  • Comfort with reporting and using data sets for deeper analysis
  • Expert problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

Preferred:

  • Experience on OTT Platforms
  • Basic understanding of Flash, JavaScript, HTML5
  • Programmatic experience a plus (DSP, SSP)
  • Love for all things tech, details beneath the surface and the element of discovery

The hiring range for this position is $108,200 - $132,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
