Disney Theatrical Group is in search of a Paralegal to assist the legal team in our New York office. This position will partner with attorneys, the paralegal manager, and paralegal specialist to draft and negotiate various agreements. The ideal candidate is a professional with keen attention to detail, a service-oriented attitude and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities include:
Drafting contracts for creative labs/workshops; special events; Release forms; Event contracts (venue rentals, equipment rentals, vendor agreements, conferences)
Drafter for Disney Musicals in School Program and other educational and licensing sponsorships
Support Paralegal Manager and Paralegal Specialist in marketing contracts such as:
Photographers, videographers, graphic designers
Promotional partners
Publicity consultants
Social media captains
Sweepstakes
Clearance requests and license agreements
Social Media Influencer documentation
New Amsterdam Theatre Vendors and Rentals, warehouse agreements, theatre buyouts
Support the legal team on drafting key creative team agreements for first-class productions (authors, directors, choreographers, designers), JR & KIDS new title development
Models and supports the mission and values of The Walt Disney Company and Disney Theatrical Group by demonstrating inclusive behavior and maintaining a safe and professional working environment.
Qualifications:
At least one year of relevant work experience.
The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting, negotiating, writing and computer skills as well as the ability to problem solve in a business-friendly, creative manner.
All applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior people skills a team-oriented approach, and the ability to juggle and prioritize numerous assignments.
Theatre or entertainment experience preferred.
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and/or any applicable state codes.

The hiring range for this position in NYC, NY is $74,300.00 to $99,600.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
