Disney Advertising Sales (DAS) drives the advertising revenue across platforms for the entire media portfolio – including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, ESPN, Freeform, FX, National Geographic, Disney Channels Worldwide, and more.
The Ad Sales Business Operations team drives sales effectiveness by delivering scalable processes and trusted data that boost revenue, improve efficiency, and elevate the employee experience. The team’s scope includes performance analytics, marketplace and executive reporting, customer data management, and organizational alignment. Business Operations partners cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Revenue Management, and Streaming to develop data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions, enhance key performance metrics, and uncover growth opportunities in high-impact areas.
Job Summary:
The Analyst, Business Operations will support business performance by providing data analysis, reporting, and operational insights to improve efficiency and decision-making. This role will focus on ensuring data accuracy, assisting in reporting processes, and coordinating operational improvements.
This person will play a key role in supporting strategic decisions across the ad sales organization by analyzing performance trends, identifying business challenges, and helping craft executive-ready deliverables. This role balances hands-on reporting and data analysis with critical thinking, problem-solving, and insight development.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Operations, the analyst will work cross-functionally to monitor revenue performance, surface risks and opportunities, and support process improvements. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and curious, with a strong ability to connect the dots, synthesize information, and communicate findings clearly—whether in spreadsheets, dashboards, or presentations.
Responsibilities:
Analyze Data & Provide Insights
·Analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and developments in the competitive landscape.
·Translate information into digestible summaries and visuals for decks and presentations.
·Assist in preparing executive-ready materials that communicate insights clearly and effectively.
Monitor and Report on Sales Performance
- Track key performance metrics, ensuring data integrity and consistency across reporting systems.
- Support sales reporting, pacing management, and performance tracking to provide visibility into business trends.
- Assist in preparing executive summaries and business updates with relevant insights and data.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Efforts
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and streamline workflows
- Work with Sales, Finance, and other teams to ensure alignment on executive ready materials
- Influence internal teams and external partners through data insights, helping to resolve operational challenges.
- Apply industry knowledge to support the achievement of business objectives through effective reporting and process management.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify growth opportunities and support solutions that drive incremental revenue.
- Build and maintain a repository of marketplace insights and performance metrics to streamline recurring reporting needs.
- Support process refinement efforts to improve reporting accuracy and business performance.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Responsible for tracking incoming data driven requests for analysis of inbound request workflow
- Partner across the analytics and data science team to define business needs and requirements
- Helps develop case studies from prior campaigns to share with internal partners and inform future campaigns
- Field data driven sales requests for our agency and client partners
- Schedule and participate in brainstorms for cross-platform creative solutions
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business operations, data analysis, market research, consulting, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience building clear, polished presentations in PowerPoint or Keynote
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Superior attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in the media, streaming, or advertising industry.
- Skilled at synthesizing information and summarizing marketplace trends.
- Naturally curious and proactive — a self-starter who’s comfortable working independently.
- Excited about using AI tools to boost productivity and streamline work.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $81,600 - $99,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
