About the Role & Program:
The ABC News Digital group is the comprehensive, 24/7 online news division of ABC News, delivering real-time updates, exclusive reporting, and video content across abcnews.com, mobile apps, and streaming platforms. It offers on-demand, breaking news coverage, including Good Morning America and ABC News Live, reaching millions monthly with digital-first journalism.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and team player with experience in video editing and a working knowledge of weaving together visuals to create compelling video content. You will be encouraged to be hands-on, and your responsibilities will increase as you learn throughout the internship.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in New York City from June 2026-January 2027 and will report to Senior Digital Video Producer .
What You Will Do:
Support the production tasks of the team, including video editing and writing metadata to be paired with published content
Reformat existing video content for delivery to ABC News Digital’s platforms and our partners
Collaborate with newsgathering and ABC News Digital’s seniors, as well as the various teams we work with for photos and graphics, as well as our platforms and social teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premiere for non-linear editing
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Teams and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Experience with web publishing
Education:
Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Film, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television, or a related field
Junior or Senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from June 2026 through January 2027
Fully available from Monday through Friday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
