About the Role:
 

As a Scheduling Coordinator at Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality TV linear playlists for Factual channels. This entry-level role requires strong coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate, on-time presentation schedules that meet all brand, editorial, and regulatory guidelines. You will play a crucial role in the seamless operation of our channels, contributing to the success of our innovative and world-class entertainment offerings.
 

Responsibilities:
 

In this role, you will be responsible for the creation and finalization of daily TV linear playlists using the “What’s On” (Mediagenix) software, ensuring they are delivered to Playout on time. You will also build and schedule monthly promo campaigns, input EDM details, and regularly review the monthly make list with the Media planning Supervisor. Your role is vital in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our channel operations, requiring strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Create and finalize daily TV linear playlists on “What’s On” and deliver them to Playout.

  • Build and schedule monthly promo campaigns for the channel in WON.

  • Input EDM details into the monthly make list to enable the Creative Services team to prepare assets.

  • Regularly review the monthly make list with the Media planning Supervisor to ensure all promos and communication elements are ready for broadcast on time.

  • Approve promo campaigns in Mediator, ensuring accuracy in key messaging.

  • Prepare autoslotters, style sheets, continuity planning, and insert secondary events as per the defined strategy.

  • Monitor daily channel output to ensure all scheduled content airs as planned.

  • Collaborate with Programming, Scheduling Operations, and Ad Sales teams to provide feedback on commercial occupancy and resolve operational issues.

  • Contribute to team brainstorms with ideas for future campaign strategies and launching plans for upcoming series/programming stunts.

  • Coordinate with Marketing & Local teams to address promotional requirements for their off-air/comms campaigns.

  • Analyze audience figures and competitor data to identify trends and recommend media planning improvements.

  • Provide transmission and performance reports to the Media planning Supervisor as required.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage own time and projects with skill and maturity.

  • Ability to spot and solve problems.

  • High level of pro-activity and ability to work under pressure.

  • Able to work effectively in teams.

  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Fluent in English.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or similar.

  • 3 years of experience in Editorial/media planning or TV media.

  • Experience in Media planning & Presentation Scheduling is a plus.

  • Factual / GE programming or scheduling experience is a plus.

  • Digital & Social Media background is a plus.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with What’s On (WON) Broadcasting software.

  • Relevant experience in international territories.

  • SVOD experience.
