About The Role & Team
The Senior Manager, Product & Commercial leads the strategic development, execution, and performance of travel products, commercial initiatives, and booking channels across Disney’s brands. This role drives revenue growth, optimizes product offerings, and ensures the Guest experience aligns with commercial goals across WDTCI’s Consumer Direct and Trade channels.
As the go-to expert for Disneyland Paris (DLP), Walt Disney World (WDW), and Disney Cruise Line (DCL), the Senior Manager collaborates with key stakeholders to coordinate business priorities, product roadmaps, and insights to maximize sales and profitability. Leading a diverse and multidisciplinary team, the role fosters commercial success, operational efficiency, and data-driven performance while providing inclusive leadership and strategic direction to achieve business objectives.
This is a full-time role, based out of our London office in Hammersmith, 4 days a week in the office.
What You Will You Do
Product Strategy & Development
- Develop and implement a product strategy aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Oversee the product roadmap, collaborating with key stakeholders to drive commercial success.
- Identify and deliver new product innovations to enhance offerings that support business growth.
- Partner with Digital Product Owners to enhance Guest experience and commercial performance.
- Provide stakeholder input into Annual Operating and Long-Term Plans.
Commercial & Revenue Optimization
- Lead initiatives to drive trading performance and optimize revenue and margin.
- Set and manage pricing strategies, campaigns, and activations in collaboration with Finance.
- Use data insights to identify cross-brand commercial opportunities.
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitors to refine strategies.
- Co-develop financial models and business cases for key projects.
Product and Commercial Governance
- Oversee annual product launches and sustainment efforts across business functions.
- Ensure seamless delivery of pricing and promotional initiatives through weekly activation planning.
- Oversee legal compliance in all product and commercial activities.
- Develop KPI frameworks to monitor sales performance, providing regular updates to business leads.
- Provide commercial input for performance marketing, including Paid Search and Affiliate marketing.
- Align contact center transformation plans with commercial objectives.
- Optimize internal processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Third Party Supplier & Trade Partner Management
- Lead third-party product and trade relationships to drive revenue growth and sales performance.
- Oversee supplier negotiations to secure competitive terms and exclusive offerings.
- Expand and diversify transport partnerships to support growth and accessibility.
- Ensure third-party suppliers meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to promote key products in B2B markets.
- Support the team in delivering key account plans and incentive agreements for WDW Trade partners.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Digital teams to enhance product discoverability and booking funnel conversion.
- Provide input on feature development and testing, using data insights for improvements.
- Support the integration of new digital tools to streamline the Guest experience.
- Foster collaboration as the liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Own internal commercial relationships with WDW, DCL, and DLP Sales & Marketing.
- Lead and develop three direct reports, ensuring clear learning and development plans and growth.
- Work with the Director to ensure appropriate team resourcing for growth projects.
Training and Professional Development
- Champion change and act as an ambassador for Disney.
- Promote an inclusive team culture, valuing diverse perspectives and sharing best practices.
- Take ownership of professional development, using D Learn and other resources.
- Suggest ways to improve departmental performance using technological tools.
- Build links with other TWDC functions to broaden business knowledge.
- Promote diversity and inclusion, using available resources to extend knowledge.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in product management, commercial development, strategy, and revenue optimization within the travel or hospitality industry.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills with suppliers and partners.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of digital commerce, booking platforms, and customer experience enhancements.
- Digital marketing knowledge or experience is desirable.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data insights into commercial action.
- Ability to drive innovation, process efficiency, and commercial impact in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, including strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
- Strong communication skills, including spoken and written English for business use, and the ability to present effectively.
- Analytical and creative thinker with the ability to interpret data to make evidence-based business decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Disney brand guidelines is preferred.
