This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).
Overall Purpose of the Role
Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s Direct to Consumer video entertainment service. The service consists of 6 key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star a general entertainment offering).
The Disney+ team is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Disney+ across EMEA, specifically focused on marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships and synergy, content programming, research and analytics.
We are looking for a Lead Analyst to join our Disney+ Analytics & Insights EMEA team. This role sits within the Local Analytics team and is responsible for deepening our understanding of customer behaviors, content engagement and acquisition and retention dynamics across EMEA. While there will be a particular focus on the North & East Europe markets, this role will also support solving the most complex analytical problems across the region.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in data science and experimentation, with the ability to apply advanced statistical methods, causal inference, and machine learning techniques to uncover meaningful insights. You will also be instrumental in designing and scaling experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, multivariate testing, uplift modeling) to guide data-driven decision-making
This is a pivotal role within the Disney+ business, which will provide crucial insights on local business performance, and will directly feed into business decisions and action plans across the region.
Areas of Responsibility:
Leading analytical projects that combine data science, experimentation, and business intelligence to answer high-impact business questions.
Designing, implementing and analysing experiments that inform product, content and marketing strategies.
Applying statistical modeling, predictive analytics and causal inference techniques to identify drivers of customer acquisition, engagement and retention.
Partnering with data engineering teams to optimise data pipelines and ensure high-quality datasets for analysis.
Translating complex technical analyses into clear, actionable insights for business partners.
Acting as a technical expert and mentor within the Local Analytics team, upskilling colleagues in experimentation design, advanced analytics and best practices.
Collaborating across markets to ensure insights and frameworks are scalable and can be applied regionally.
Skills & Competencies Required
Advanced SQL skills
Proficiency in Python/R and other statistical programming languages.
Demonstrable understanding and practical application of statistical concepts of when to apply which concept, with a particular focus on causal methodologies.
Background in data visualization and dashboard development (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated success in working with and influencing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
Positive, collaborative, energetic and entrepreneurial attitude
Ability to work autonomously
