Résumé du poste:

About the Role & Team

"We make magic.” That’s our motto at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and it permeates everything we do. At Disney, you’ll help inspire that magic by enabling our teams to push the limits of entertainment and create the never-before-seen!"

The Buena Vista Construction Company (BVCC) Business Management & Project Controls team drives operational excellence by aligning systems, analytics, and financial discipline to support efficient project execution and informed decision‑making across the organization.

The Senior Business Analyst plays a highly visible role at the center of BVCC’s operations, serving as both a strategic partner to leadership and the driving force behind project cost visibility and financial ownership for the business. This role works heavily in SAP and internal systems to ensure cost integrity and operating plan alignment, project‑leads technology enhancements that improve how the business operates, and develops analytics and KPIs that shape strategy, guide leadership decisions, and enable meaningful change. The position offers the opportunity to influence how the business runs—identifying improvement opportunities, implementing solutions, and balancing executive‑level insights with detailed financial and operational understanding.

You will report to the Senior Manager – Business Management & Project Controls.

This is a Full-Time role

What You Will Do

  • Act as the primary finance point of contact for BVCC working in our internal project management/cost software and SAP - translating job cost and financial data between internal systems, SAP and finance partners, resolving discrepancies, and applying working knowledge with partners on cost analysis, WBS structures, P&L, and forecasting.

  • Project lead a near-term technology enhancement for the organization – driving timeline, user training and adoption, feedback integration and optimization along side a veteran software engineer responsible for technical development

  • Proactively identify and lead strategic and operational improvement opportunities across the business by developing analytics and KPIs, generating actionable insights, and partnering with BVCC leadership on business strategy.

  • Maintain year‑round ownership of project cost integrity and operating plan alignment, while tracking overhead trends, establishing business guardrails, and moving seamlessly between project‑level detail and executive‑level insight.

  • Partner with onboarding / HR teams to ensure accurate labor hours and labor cost flow; on occasion, investigate and resolve settlement issues using SAP and internal systems in partnership with finance, payroll, HR, etc.

  • Act as an informal mentor to a Business Analyst, supporting development of systems thinking, analytical approaches, and process improvement best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial engineering, business analysis, financial analysis, project controls, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with the ability to navigate project and financial data to support job cost tracking and operational decision‑making.

  • Demonstrated ability to project‑lead initiatives and partner with technical teams, serving as the business owner for system enhancements, integrations, and technology improvements (not as a technical SME).

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, investigate discrepancies, and translate data into insights.

  • Experience developing analytics, dashboards, and KPIs using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms to support business decisions.

  • Proven experience identifying and leading operational or process improvement efforts, from opportunity identification through implementation.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience leading operational or financial process improvement efforts.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across diverse teams and leadership levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a construction, capital projects, or project‑based environment.

  • Comfort working within SAP and internal project management systems to manage, reconcile, and analyze financial and project cost data.

  • Advanced proficiency with analytics, data, and automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Power Automate.

  • Experience supporting system implementations, including testing, user training, change management, and cloud or financial systems modernization initiatives.

  • Advanced financial and project controls knowledge, including PIC lifecycle management, WBS structuring, SAP T‑codes, journal entries, allocations, and cost analysis.

  • Experience partnering with HR, or payroll teams related to labor management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Finance, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
