About your team…

You and the team will develop and implement Retail profit protection and risk mitigation plans and practices to achieve efficient and effective daily operational controls and business interruption restoration to help protect and maintain a safe environment as well as continuity of the revenue stream.  Foster cross-functional collaboration with business units and regional security partners to help ensure programs are maintained in accordance with both enterprise and regional compliance requirements.

 A Day in the life of a Senior Manager…

  • Develop proactive and analytical strategy for Asset Protection and Risk Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), programs and compliance tools associated to workplace security, general profit protection, workplace safety, general risk mitigation and business resiliency initiatives
  • Identify, develop and manage specific employee new hire and refresher training programs related to eLearning, leader-led training and awareness poster and tips programs associated to physical and workplace security, asset protection, general loss mitigation, occupational safety, workplace safety and business resiliency initiatives
  • Oversee physical security and safety tools and supplies for owned and operated facilities with blended model regional security collaboration for shared campuses
  • Manage cross-channel supply-chain security profit protection/inventory shrink reduction, e-commerce fraud investigation and Guest appeasement processes to reduce loss exposure
  • Oversee investigations and incident management (case disposition, prosecution, restitution, etc.)
  • Support Anti-Piracy initiatives related to retail Intellectual Property Abuse and Counterfeit merchandise investigations
  • Support 3rd party retailer/licensee embargo/Sensitive Information Protection initiatives related to digital and physical asset handling; establish sample merchandise workflow protocols
  • In consultation with regional security partners, oversee 24/7 incident escalation efforts, ensuring consistent and timely response
  • Serve as the retail profit protection and risk subject matter expert and act as a liaison for regional security, legal and Market Law Enforcement
  • Support retail event compliance associated to occupational safety, workplace safety and business resiliency initiatives to meet regulatory and TWDC standards
  • Oversee related audit initiatives, track performance/compliance and make appropriate recommendations to close gaps
  • Develops and tests protection strategies and incident response exercises. Coordinates business resilience initiatives and plans with staff and line functions.
  • Builds compliance tools to ensure programs are adhered to and serves as the Retail subject matter expert and liaison between the Global Emergency Preparedness and Response, Corporate Risk Management and Safety and Global Asset Protection & Risk teams.
  • Supports operations and legal in regulatory requirements and incident management.
  • Assesses, reviews and reports critical information and key performance indicators with leadership and influences decision makers at the highest level.
  • Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Contributes to the development of functional strategy. Leads teams or projects with broad visibility to achieve milestones and objectives. Operates with broad latitude in a complex environment.
  • Consults on expense and capital projects that require general AP, risk and operational safety oversight.
  • Develops pro-active, analytical approach to risk issues by monitoring data to identify trends for corrective action.
  • Coordinates AP/risk related awareness programs and audits to confirm compliance to all required programs. Tracks performance and reports findings and recommendations to leadership and other key partners.
  • Supports new facility design/remodel team in evaluating AP/risk and responsible for keeping current with new or revised regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Supports Fire Marshall / OSHA/regional violation tracking, correction, and logs and keeps supervisor advised on all key metrics to the executive team.
  • Drive cross-functional stakeholder collaborations to support integrated approach to initiatives (Operations, Finance, Accounting, HR/ER, Corp Risk, Legal and Regional Security, etc.) 
     

Here is what you will need to have to be successful…

  • + 7 or more years in leadership of progressively complex related experience.
  • Expertise in a variety of AP/risk/safety-related fields of study including business continuity, worker’s compensation, General Liability and local, federal, and state Occupational safety laws and requirements.
  • Multi-site and experience with +2500 employees
     

It would be a plus if you had these skills…

  • Leadership expertise in retail risk/safety-related fields.
  • Business Continuity/DR, CSP or ASP certifications are a plus.

The hiring range for this position in California is $130,000.00 - $183,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
