We are seeking a Material Specialist to support our Engineering & Facilities team through purchasing, inventory management, procurement coordination, and materials control activities that help keep the resort operating safely and efficiently.
This full-time position reports to the Director of Engineering & Facilities and will be working onsite at Aulani Resort on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
Responsibilities:
- Position includes both office and field work.
- Schedule flexibility required based on business needs.
- Process material and spare parts orders and track them through completion.
- Coordinate material requisitions and procurement activities for Engineering & Facilities operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory accuracy and replenishment.
- Track purchase orders, invoices, and payments using SAP and related systems.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and movement of materials throughout the resort.
- Partner with Engineering, Planning, Sourcing & Procurement, and Shared Services teams to ensure material availability.
- Maintain compliance with Disney purchasing, inventory, safety, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, materials control, inventory management, or a related field.
- Experience using SAP or similar purchasing/inventory management systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in a related field.
- Experience with Coupa, Maximo, SmarTeam, HotSos, or similar systems.
- Experience supporting engineering, facilities, hospitality, or maintenance operations.

The hiring range for this position in Hawaii is $23.50 to $33.91 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
