Disney’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.
The Disney+ Global Subscriber Engagement and Content Programming team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.
What You Will Do
The Content Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning of on-service live events, streams, and promotional assets. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with several teams, including Content Studios, Linear Networks, Distribution Operations, International Programming, Marketing, and Communications. This position reports into the Sr. Manager, Content Planning.
Responsibilities
Manage live events, streams, and promotional assets on Disney+ with designated Studios and Networks, working closely with programming teams, operations, and US-based Global and International teams to execute, track, and report on these initiatives through the lifecycle of planning to live on service.
Responsible for maintaining daily communication and positive relationships with Studios, Networks, Operations, Marketing, Comms, and Programming teams.
Convey overall live and streams strategies into data-informed summaries and high-level presentations for executives and internal stakeholders.
Represent Disney+ Content Planning & Scheduling in meetings with a professional and enthusiastic demeanor.
Handle any challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and act as project manager for ad hoc requests and deliverables as they arise.
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of experience in live events, linear scheduling, content strategy, curation, lifecycle planning, and/or project management, preferably in digital media and entertainment. SVOD or Linear TV experience is desired.
Skilled in identifying opportunities for improving title planning and recommending impactful business solutions.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Diplomatic mindset with a proven track record of effective teamwork in matrixed organizations.
Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities, with effective time management for oneself and others.
High emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit.
Quick to adapt to new technologies and evolving organizations, thriving in fast-paced environments.
Passionate about The Walt Disney Company’s segments, brands, and franchises, with expertise in enhancing audience engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SVOD or linear TV is preferred.
Familiarity with live operations is a plus.
Proficient in Airtable and other content planning tools.

The hiring range for this position in CA is $85,800.00 to $115,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
