The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) seeks a Senior Manager, Organizational Development (Project Hire) for a two year assignment to support HR’s role in the Company’s Global Finance Transformation initiative. Organizational Development expertise with strong experience leading operating model design, change and complex projects/programs are requirements for this role.
As an OD professional, you will be recognized as an expert in one or more OD competencies such as Org Design, Change Management or Process Improvement and excel at simplifying complex issues and processes and bringing others along. The ideal candidate will be an advisor to HR and business leaders with a bias towards action and impact. The candidate must be comfortable being dropped into ambiguous situations and able to quickly support the team in driving change, transformation and business results.
The role is based in Burbank, CA and reports to the Senior Manager, Organizational Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cross functional enterprise collaboration with senior executives, business leaders, OD leaders and HR Business Partners to design and deliver organization design, change and transition management and culture transformation across the Company.
- Partner with the HR PMO team to facilitate complex work and maintain stakeholder alignment; implement project schedules, plans and timelines.
- Build trust and work with teams in a global and virtual environment; Partner effectively with HR Business Partners and OD leaders across the Company to transfer knowledge and skills
- Effectively prioritize time and ensure speed in delivering high-impact work
- Develop and deliver change strategies and plan; Identify change drivers and impacts and mitigate program risks/issues; Identify and manage anticipated resistance; Define and measure business readiness, success metrics and monitor change effectiveness
- Translate strategy into designing and implement org structure and/or operating models; Facilitate role clarity and accountabilities
- Manage projects independently while acquiring needed resources and developing capabilities in others to deliver project requirements
- Creates and implements plans to ensure successful change execution
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ plus years of OD experience driving practical and impactful organizational change
- Possesses practical experience in Organizational Development and Change Management of large and complex initiative.
- Anticipates business needs, identifying opportunities to advance business objectives and/or minimize risk
- Creates value through insight, leveraging data and analytics to create and demonstrate business value and ROI
- Collaborates with cross functional Enterprise stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions; operates with a global mindset while fostering the open exchange of ideas between people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Able to communicate and influence complex concepts in a compelling and simple way
- Develops new ideas, seeing issues from multiple angles, acting with a sense of curiosity and urgency, and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement
- Is a positive example of corporate values, demonstrating adaptability in times of conflict; maintains a positive outlook in the face of adversity while inspiring others to do the same

Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in the field of Organization Development, Organizational Behaviors, Human Resources Management, or Business-related fields.
Preferred Education
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in the field of Organizational Development, Organizational Behaviors, Human Resources Management, or Business-related fields.
- Experience in Change Management Principles, methodologies and tools
- Prior consulting experience working in Entertainment and/or Finance
The hiring range for this position in Burbank is $165,700 to $202,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
