The Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) supports The Walt Disney Company’s efforts to increase awareness of its social impact initiatives both internally and externally.
In this role you will help develop and drive brand marketing and integrated communications efforts connected to signature social impact programs in support of Disney’s brand reputation. This includes managing the execution of cross-company CSR campaigns, managing high-profile CSR activations across segments and regions, helping to build and maintain systems and processes for CSR storytelling, supporting integration into brand and franchise campaigns, facilitating content capture at events, overseeing/contributing to the development of photo, video, and graphic assets, creating campaign impact reports, and actively collaborating with brand, digital marketing, and communications partners to amplify social impact stories.
The Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility reports to the Director, CSR.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the planning and execution of high-profile, cross-company CSR marketing and communications campaigns that build awareness of the important causes TWDC supports and advance Disney’s brand and reputation goals. This work includes:
- Campaign development, including ideation, internal alignment, deck creation, etc.
- Campaign execution, including management of creative teams, synergy planning, and supporting cross-company CSR activations
- Project management, including creating and maintaining operational tools and systems, leading cross-functional task forces, etc.
- Close collaboration with Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, and Brand Marketing teams to ensure CSR work is driving broader Disney goals and is being amplified effectively
- Relationship management, including rallying both internal and external stakeholders around a common goal
- Recaps and campaign measurement
- Maintain CSR storytelling editorial calendar and activation tracker to generate content for internal and external marketing and communications that deliver on the company’s CSR and Brand narratives
- Engage and align TWDC business segments, regional teams, nonprofits, and creative teams to meet CSR brand, marketing, and communications goals
- Oversee and contribute to content strategy for social impact programs and events, including managing creative agencies, developing and managing shot lists, producing interviews, managing content capture on the ground, and securing asset clearance and approvals
- Manage centralized creative asset management system for CSR
- Support team in ensuring cross-company CSR programs, activations, and storytelling aligns with Disney’s CSR brand narrative at large
- Support team on other CSR marketing and communications projects as needed (i.e. consumer research, brand reputation campaigns, writing blog posts and articles, preparing decks, etc.).
- Leadership of at least one direct report
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in brand, marketing, or communications; experience with social impact marketing preferred
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
- Deep understanding of corporate brand marketing strategy
- Effective relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in a heavily matrixed organization, able to adapt to changing priorities and be flexible
- Interest in and acumen for creative process and the ability to work well with creative teams is essential
- Strong creative intuition
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Self-starter, proactive, and solutions-oriented, exhibiting a strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to their work
- Personal interest in Corporate Social Responsibility and social impact
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional experience leading a team
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $110,000 to $138,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
