About the Role:


We serve high quality content to millions of customers across millions of devices, all of which are constantly evolving and changing. As we increase our scale, we plan to add to our existing user base through highly personalized and targeted marketing initiatives.


Context:

The role requires to ensure that all the Sports & other feeds from venue are made available in Disney - Star Production & Playout facilities and deliver the final feeds to pre-approved sub-licensees by ensuring appropriate connectivity & equipment and the quality is as per Disney – Star standards and usable for broadcast. Also provide technical support in playout facilities, MCR and channel broadcast systems.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the business & technical requirements, support in generating the RFQ, generate the daily feed schedule, manage the incoming feeds, ensure technical quality & signal quality is maintained as per Disney – Star standards, and coordination with source or destination as required.

  • Have the engineering & operational knowledge and know how to conduct these FMS (Feeds Management System) activities and have clear understanding of satellite, fiber, internet communication, baseband and compressed video and audio and data.

  • Capability to use all test & measurement equipment such as Waveform monitors, Spectrum analyzer, power meter, antenna alignment equipment, etc.

  • Capability to fluently coordinate with the technical teams at source or destination to ensure quick actions for delivery of signals. Generate technical document of satellite parameters, audio video parameters of the feeds in coordination with the venue production team.

Qualifications:

  • Preferable an engineering background, BE / BTech in Electronics & Telecommunications with a flare to communicate with, in most common Indian languages (English and Hindi, any other language will be added advantage) as well as in English for communication with international affiliates and suppliers.

  • A sound knowledge of using computers, various application such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentation, etc. as well as using various Test & Measurements equipment for RF & Baseband video & audio signal monitoring is essential.

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in similar facilities such as Sports Channels or News channels in MCR, Ingest & SNG is essential, with an experience of playout & uplink of channels.  

  • Work in shifts & Travel within India and abroad as required for business. 

Personal Attributes:

  • Good communication

  • Deep functional knowledge and industry experience

  • Knowledge of RF signals, monitoring all parameters on Spectrum Analyzer
