About the Role & Team
We’re seeking an intellectually curious, business-savvy, analytical powerhouse to join the Commercial Business Transformation Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You will leverage advanced analytic techniques and data visualizations to uncover trends, predict outcomes and identify opportunities to optimize business processes.
The Senior Manager, Data & Analytics will also partner with the Director, Commercial Business Transformation to develop, maintain, communicate and interpret KPIs that define opportunities, measure success and guide transformational efforts. This includes training, developing and guiding a Team to excel not only in analytics, but also in the art of partnership and influence.
This position reports to the Director, Commercial Business Transformation.
What You Will Do:
Perform statistical analysis on large, complex datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies.
Conduct A/B testing and other experimental designs to evaluate the impact of new products, processes or strategies.
Uncover actionable insights from data to address critical business questions and challenges.
Develop and implement predictive models and/or machine learning algorithms to forecast trends and optimize performance.
Work closely with both Tech and Operations partners to understand data sources, schemas, and pipelines.
Clean, transform, and preprocess raw data from various disparate sources to ensure data quality, integrity and consistency for use in analysis, modeling and reporting.
Develop and maintain robust data consolidation processes, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies to maintain a high level of data accuracy.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership, product managers, marketing teams, and operations.
Create compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools like Tableau and Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
Provide data-driven recommendations and strategic guidance that directly impact business outcomes, such as revenue growth, cost reduction, or operational efficiency.
Proactively identify opportunities for data to solve business problems and drive innovation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and align initiatives with company objectives.
In partnership with finance, develop business justifications for initiatives that drive revenue and/or reduce costs
Develop and maintain reporting and after-action reviews on all initiatives to evaluate effectiveness.
Develop, evolve and maintain all daily reporting to operations and key partners.
Coach, develop and inspire direct reports to increase technical proficiency and influence.
Develop and nurture relationships with all partners to ensure successful implementation.
Negotiate win-win solutions with partners of varying levels of technical proficiency
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Demonstrated ability to mine, curate, analyze and present data from a variety of data sources including SQL, Python and Snowflake.
1+ years experience in data science or other highly analytical role
1+ years of experience in a leadership role
Expertise in visualizing data in a compelling way using Tableau, PowerBI, or other tools.
Ability to translate data into business cases that resonate with non-technical audiences.
Ability to articulate complex topics to non-technical audiences, to influence diverse stakeholders.
Ability to integrate and assimilate multiple perspectives into win-win solutions.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, with tight deadlines.
Passion for teaching and developing a team
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ Years of experience in data science or other highly analytical roles
3+ years of experience in a leadership role
Education:
B.S. in related field (Data Science, Computer Science, IE, Economics, Statistics, etc.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree/MS

The hiring range for this position in California is $137,200.00-$183,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
